LuxeEvents: PGA Grand Slam Experience in Bermuda

Today, The PGA of America announced the Deluxe VIP PGA Grand Slam Experience package, a six-night excursion for golf travelers to the beautiful island of Bermuda to play multiple rounds of golf, while getting exclusive access to a season-ending showcase event that boasts the most difficult requirement in the game – a Major Championship victory.
The 30th PGA Grand Slam of Golf, which returns to the Port Royal Golf Course in Southampton, Bermuda, Oct. 22-24, has featured past champions such as Tiger Woods, Phil Mickelson and Ernie Els. This year’s foursome is headlined by Masters Champion Bubba Watson, who will be joined by the winners of the U.S. Open Championship, June 14-17, at The Olympic Club in San Francisco, Calif.; the Open Championship, July 19-22, at Royal Lytham & St Annes in Lancashire, England; and the 94th PGA Championship, Aug. 9-12, at The Ocean Course in Kiawah Island, S.C.

The package features six nights of luxury accommodations at The Fairmont Southampton; breakfast daily; three days admission to the PGA Grand Slam of Golf; daily transfers to/from the hotel to Port Royal and transportation to and from the Bermuda airport.
Highlighting this package is exclusive access to the PGA Welcome Reception on Sunday evening, Oct. 21, and an invitation to the exclusive Champions Celebration on Tuesday, Oct. 23, where guests will experience a fireside chat with the Major Champions and then enjoy a spectacular dinner. The package prices, including tax, range from $742 – $1,177 per person, based on double occupancy and length of stay. The PGA Grand Slam of Golf features a $1.35 million purse, with the winner receiving $600,000; second place $300,000; third place $250,000 and fourth place $200,000. TNT’s prime-time broadcast of the event is distributed to a worldwide audience of 500 million viewers in more than 100 countries.

A 60-minute chronograph and telemeter scale is set at the center of the dial.
Mark “E” – Speed, Color, and Concentration…These are the hallmarks of Formula 1 racing. As a seasoned F1 driver, Johansson captures the essence of the 103 Grand Prix in which he competed. The Mark IX and Mark X “E” chronograph feature the ten official flags of motor racing which ring the bezel of this winning design. They serve as hour index markers and channel the clarity and alertness required of a driver whose eyes are truly on the prize. Applied hour indexes, markers and 3D three-piece hands are coated with Superluminova to ensure maximum visibility. A horizontal tachymeter scale and a beveled chronograph scale ring the dial. A 60-minute chronograph and telemeter scale is set at the center of the dial. An intricately crafted dial features registers set at varying heights, which overlap while hands pass beneath. Though highly complex in design, the dial and registers are surprisingly simple to read. A sweep-seconds sub-dial appears at 3 o’clock, a date register and 12-hour countdown register appear at 6 o’clock and a 24-hour AM/PM register is at 9 o’clock.
Mark “G” – The newest dial in the series, Mark “G” is a marriage of retro and modern design aesthetics. An intricately crafted “step-down” dial features registers set at five varying depths. To ensure maximum visibility applied hour indexes, markers and 3D three-piece hands are coated with Superluminova. A beveled telemeter scale and a chronograph scale encircle a silver dial, which features a centrally located 60-minute chronograph in addition to hours and minutes. The sweep seconds hand is located at 3 o’clock. The date and hour register is at 6 o’clock. The 24-hour AM/PM register is at 9 o’clock. Applied numerals are coated in black Superluminova. A Tachymeter register appears on both the IX and X models.
